The Kansai Canadian Association

History

The KCA held its first annual general meeting (AGM) in 1994 as the Kansai Canadian Alumni Association (KCAA). It was created after a co-ordinating initiative by the Canadian Consulate-General in Osaka. The intention was to bring together Canadians and Japanese who have graduated from Canadian universities. Once it was up and running, the KCAA broadened its scope and established itself as an inclusive social club, dropping "Alumni" from its name.
